Latah Creek Wine Cellars was established in 1982 in Spokane - a major metropolitan area in the Northeast corner of Washington State. The winery is one of only a few family owned and operated wineries within the State. Mike Conway, with over 34 years of winery experience, and his wife Ellena pair together to run one of the most successful small wineries in this relatively new viticultural region. While Mike assumes the management, winemaking and vineyard tasks, Ellena takes on the accounting, fiscal, tasting room, and gift shop responsibilities. Mike & Ellena announced in 2005 that their daughter Natalie would be joining the family business as the assistant winemaker. Barrister Winery specializes in the production of limited quantities of Bordeaux varietal wines and Syrah. We will release approximately 3, 100 cases in 2010. In addition, we will produce about 250 cases of white wines. Our wines are sold at the winery, through our mailing list and online.A number of the regions finest restaurants and wine shops are also offering our wines to their customers. See the "Find Our Wines" link for a representative listing of restaurants and shops in Washington and north Idaho that carry our wines.Founded in a garage by Greg Lipsker and Michael White, two attorney/winemakers, Barrister Winery is now located in a 100-year-old brick building in the historic Davenport Arts District in downtown Spokane, Washington. In the fall of 1997, we bought a 5-gallon home-winemaking kit as a whim while vacationing with our families. Since then, winemaking has become the "little hobby" that got out of control. In 2001, we took the quantum leap from home winemaking to becoming a bonded winery. Initially producing only red wine, we have ventured into small quantities of white, but reds are our specialty. Our grapes come from some of Washingtons most prestigious vineyards ( and a couple of sleepers ). Our grapes are all hand picked, fermented in small lots and barrel-aged in French and American Oak for 16 to 36 months.

In the beginning months of 2001, Annette Bergevin and Amber Lane co-founded and created Bergevin Lane Vineyards with Gary Bergevin (Annettes father ). The goal for Amber and Annette was to leave the rat race behind in California and get back to what they each wanted from life. Annette wanted to be close to her family and long-time friends, and Amber wanted to take on new challenges and continue her personal path of growth and education. Garys 20 years of experience in the wine industry in both the vineyard and business aspects, was the catalyst to start the winery. Together they brainstormed, worked hard, and brought to fruition Bergevin Lane. Amber and Annette along with "office princess" Julie Myrick, manage the daily operations including sales and marketing. If you visit the winery, you might see the girls with a broom and dustpan in their hands or wrestling with a case of wine for delivery... of course, you will never see Julie doing either of those menial tasks. She didnt earn the title of "princess" for nothing! Being owners of a smaller winery includes responsibilities that arent as glamorous as what they envisioned in their dreams but Amber and Annette will attest that they are doing what they love and love what they are doing.after all, there is lots of great wine to drink at the end of the day! The winery officially opened its doors in May 2003; the winery is a 20, 000 square foot modern industrial building located in downtown Walla Walla. Although BLVs production is 11, 000 cases, there is a capacity to produce over 22, 000 cases of wine at the winery. To help with overhead costs, BLV also has a custom crush operation with two long term tennants.
