Pacheco Ranch Winery has been producing hand-crafted California wines since 1973 and focuses on the cabernet sauvignon variety of deep, rich red wine. Jamie Meves is the chief winemaker, and he has overseen the making of wines that run about $20-$25 in selected local shops. The facility is open for tours and tastings and the winery can be rented for special events. Pacheco Ranch Winery is located along the Highway 101 frontage road in southern Novato, about 45-60 minutes from the famed Napa and Sonoma wine appelations.
Martine's Wines was founded by owner and operator Martine Saunier in 1979. It specializes in the importing of Burgundies. Besides these French wines, it also distributes for Ken Wright Cellars, a top Oregonian producer of Pinot Noir. It is based out of the Bel Marin Keys area of Novato.
