Founded in 1903, YMCA of San Francisco offers various community-based programs serving children and families of the Bay Area. Its programs involve people from all ages and abilities to promote child care, parent-child relationships, teen development, summer camps, youth educational/college preparation, family resources, volunteerism as well as holistic health and wellness initiatives. It accepts donations and charities to provide financial to qualified individuals and families. With facilities including fitness centers, learning centers, kids clubs and more, the organization offers cardiac rehabilitation, cardio and dance, arts and crafts lessons, swimming classes and martial arts. Through its 50 childcare sites in San Francisco, San Mateo and Marin Counties, YMCA of San Francisco provides a safe and nurturing environment for over 5,000 kids each year.
