Together, the nations more than 2,400 YMCAs are the largest nonprofit community service organization in America, working to meet the health and social service needs of nearly 18 million men, women and children in 10,000-plus communities in the United States, including the Waukee Family YMCA in Waukee, Iowa. YMCAs are for people of all faiths, races, abilities, ages and incomes. The YMCA has a scholarship program for the financially needy, to assist with membership fees.
