Head Start YMCA at Fleming Senior Center is a traditional Head Start program designed to prepare economically disadvantaged children, ages 3 to 5, for success in school and life by providing comprehensive early-intervention education and support to low-income children and their families. Located along Main Street in Dundalk, it offers two preschool programs, one in the morning from 8:30am to noon and one in the afternoon from noon to 3:30pm. Both programs are free.

For 50 years the Maryland Hillel Foundation has served Jewish students who attend the University of Maryland. The small, nonprofit organization helps students grow socially, culturally and religiously. It features a kosher dining hall. The Hillel Foundation has 540 centers on college campuses nationwide.
