The Dale Turner Family YMCA, named for the long-time pastor of University Congregational United Church of Christ in Seattle who passed away in 2006, opened in Oct. 2008. The mission of the YMCA is to help develop youth and assist all members in their journey to healthy living no matter where they are on the path to that goal. Social responsibility is also an important mission of the YMCA. The spacious 52,000-square-foot facility features a two-level parking garage, a gym, a four-lane, 25-yard pool, men's and women's locker rooms,  an upstairs weight and fitness area with treadmills, exercise bikes and ellipticals, and rooms for cycling training, yoga, aerobics, martial arts and more.

The Y @ The Cascade People’s Center is located in the dynamic Cascade neighborhood of Seattle, Washington. The center has a long history of community engagement and involvement. Most recently, the YMCA of Greater Seattle has taken over operation in partnership with the Seattle Parks and Recreation Department. We are still in the process of developing and offering community programs and events during the year. The center is available for rent for private and community groups. During the summer, the center is largely given over as a staging site for the YMCA outdoor expedition programs, BOLD Mountain School and Passages Northwest. Please see our website for more details.

Boys and Girls Club of Ballard is affiliated with the Boys and Girls Clubs of America.
