St. Francis Episcopal Church is a small, wooden building set on Peckham Lane overlooking Old Flat River Road from a small hill. The church was founded in 1917 as Christ Church, but has since merged with the congregation of St. Matthias, taking its latest name. The church offers several activities, including parish suppers, serving meals to the homeless at Epiphany in Providence, Sunday School, the Blessing of the Animals and Tie Dye Sunday. There is a coffee hour and adult education between services on Sunday, and Christian education for children pre-K though grade 12 beginning at 8:30 a.m. Members may choose to be active as worship leaders, ushers, acolytes, in the Altar Guild or Sewer's Guild.
