Salt Creek Primary School is one of the schools in Salt Creek Elementary District 48, which serves students from Elmhurst, Villa Park, Oak Brook and Oakbrook Terrace. Salt Creek Primary, with a student enrollment of about 150 is the only one of the district's three schoolslocated in Elmhurst. Salt Creek serves children in preschool through first grade. It also is home to classes for students with visual impairments. The school offers a hot lunch program. Staff includes a full-time special education teacher and reading specialist, and programs include speech/language therapy and English as a second language. The school also has a library media center and computer lab with 13 computers.
