Shades Mountain Christian School serves more than 450 students in kindergarten through grade 12. Founded in 1974, it is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and holds membership of the Association of Christian Schools International. The school offers an academic curriculum that includes various subjects, such as English, math, science and social studies. Shades Mountain Christian School also offers a range of extracurricular programs, including fine arts, drama, vocal and instrumental music, computer science, career development, and health and physical education. In addition, it conducts foreign language programs in Spanish. Shades Mountain Christian School also supports a variety of sports activities, including baseball, basketball, tennis, cross country, softball, football and volleyball.
