Silver Lakes Middle School serves students in grades six through eight. It is a part of Broward County Public Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Silver Lakes Middle School offers a range of general academic and extracurricular courses in language arts, mathematics, social studies, science and reading. It also offers a variety of elective programs in band, chorus, art, technology integration and physical education. In addition, the school offers foreign language sessions in Spanish. The school provides the English for Speakers of Other Languages program. It also provides a variety of sports activities, such as softball, basketball, football, volleyball, soccer, and track and field.
