Operational for more than 80 years, Tanana Chiefs Conference is a traditional tribal consortium of the more than 40 villages of interior Alaska. A nonprofit organization, TCC offers health and social services to more than 10,000 natives. Headquartered in Fairbanks, the organization has branch locations in Fort Yukon, Galena, Holy Cross, McGrath and Tok, Alaska. Its programs are funded by the Bureau of Indian Affairs, Department of Labor and Alaska Native Health Services. Tanana Chiefs Conference employs more than 350 full- and part-time personnel. In cooperation with the Indian Health Service, TCC provides various health care programs, such as 24-hour emergency and critical care, dental, pharmacy, nursing, business office, medical records, and public health nursing.
