The Tarkanian Basketball Academy, also known as TBA, is a nonprofit organization that provides basketball coaching services. The academy is owned by Jerry Tarkanian, who was for more than 43 years a head basketball coach at UNLV and other schools. Tarkanian has the sixth highest winning percentage in NCAA Division I history, and took 17 teams to the NCAA tournament. The academy has a staff of certified basketball coaches and instructors that conducts classes in ball handling, shooting, dribbling, passing and defensive techniques. It organizes various basketball tournaments, leagues and camps. The Tarkanian Basketball Academy also conducts 60-minute coaching classes for children in kindergarten through grade five. It offers the Tarkanian Basketball Academy Development Program, which focuses on developing basketball skills in amateur and professional players. The academy s TBA Sports Complex conducts practice sessions and organizes league games. It additionally offers court and facility on rental options. The Tarkanian Basketball Academy is located in Las Vegas.
