The Flooring Nook was established in 2014 when Dan Freitas who has been in the flooring and remodeling industry for over 15 years took over Jim’s Ceramic Tile from his longtime friend and mentor Jim Horn. Jim and his wife Imogene were a dynamic duo in the tile business for over 35 years and are known by many in the community. Dan and his wife, Shaina quickly incorporated all types of flooring into the new business model and now run the booming retail store just outside of downtown Rolla where you’ll find experienced designers, and installers available to guide you through all of the latest styles and trends in hardwood, carpet, vinyl plank, manufactured stone, cabinets, and countertops and help you with any design questions. You’ll also find a wide variety of the latest tile options starting with our budget-friendly builder’s rack all the way to handcrafted artisan tiles, tumbled marble, polished porcelains, and travertines to create a unique and sophisticated space. Four years later with great reception and undying love from the local and surrounding communities, Dan and Shaina were able to execute their biggest vision and broke ground on the all new and innovative Flooring Nook Design Center! The Flooring Nook also offers installation on all of the products they have available with their own certified in-house installers who have over 75 years of combined experience. They are also available to answer questions about your project and help solve any problems for the “do it yourselfer”. The Flooring Nook is dedicated to making your dream and vision, a reality.
