Luring Trader Joe's to open in Novato was considered a coup by many local residents, and the small grocery store has been well received since it opened at a new shopping complex in 2007. Before that, Trader Joe's fans had to drive to Montecito Plaza in San Rafael or up to Petaluma to find their favorite TJ's products. The store offers a wide selection of fresh produce, refrigerated and frozen goods, boxed and canned goods. The store also features an extensive beer and wine selection that includes the famous Two-Buck Chuck wine. This store is on the northern end of the downtown area, at the junction of Redwood Boulevard and Olive Street.
