United Controls International United Controls International was established as a division of Reliance Electric in 1971 and was later spun off as an independent company. UCI provides utilities with control panels, motor controllers, electric motor reworking and UCIs own NukeTape. UCI also dedicates and qualifies Instrumentation and Control and other electrical components. UCI meets the highest standards of quality control established by the nuclear industry and other standards authorities. UCI maintains a 10CFR50 Appendix B program audited by NUPIC. UCI has designed, manufactured, tested and installed systems in scores of nuclear power generation plants around the world. UCI maintains a database of thousands of nuclear qualified parts and electrical components that we have tested, dedicated and qualified. UCI has an extensive array of test equipment, an experienced engineering staff and is able to offer a broad range of testing services.
