Benton Oil Service is a family owned and operated business that began operation in 1953.Through three generations it has grown from a one-truck heating oil establishment to a multimillion-dollar fuel oil distributor. Based in Chattanooga, Tenn., Benton Oil Service also has a fuel oil storage tank with enough capacity to last through any temporary oil shortage. The capacity of the terminal is 2,320,000 gallons and Colonial Pipeline ships the product directly into the tank at previously scheduled intervals. Benton Oil Service is the only privately owned company to venture into pipeline terminaling in Chattanooga. The company s products include all grades of Diesel fuel and gasoline, K-1 Kerosene, home heating fuel, industrial fuel, racing gasoline and automotive and industrial oil.
