Varnell Elementary School is a learning center that is a part of Whitfield County Schools. Established in 1891, the school serves students in kindergarten through grade five. It provides general academic, Title I, and gifted and talented education programs. The school also offers special education and English for Speakers of Other Languages programs. It supports activities, such as art, music and physical education. Varnell Elementary School operates a parent-teacher association that conducts fundraising events and sponsors art shows and science nights.
