Started by a group of parents in Cambridge in 1971, The Waldorf School of Lexington has been housed at the former Adams Elementary School since 1980. The new campus is situated between Massachusetts Avenue and the 185-acre Great Meadow. As part of the Waldorf model of education, teachers at the school stay with the same students as they progress from 1st grade through graduation. The Waldorf School also offers nursery, kindergarten and after-school programs.
