When the Yancey Brothers Company was founded in 1914, by Goodloe Yancey Jr. and B. Earle Yancey, the company sold hardware, picks, shovels and prison uniforms to government agencies. The company evolved over the years into a Caterpillar equipment dealer and has since added a number of new divisions, including Sunbelt Power Systems, Cat Rental Store, Yancey Building Construction Products and Yancey Agricultural Products. Yancey Brothers maintains a fleet of more than 200 parts and service vehicles at approximately 15 facilities, as well as 150 parts-drop locations across Georgia. The company has branches in more than 15 Georgia cities and operates primarily as an exclusive dealer and service-provider of Caterpillar products.
