Bill Richards Memorial Park, formerly named the Green Gates Park, is a small, quiet, wooded park nearby Blydenburgh County Park on Veterans Memorial Highway. It's named after a former Town of Smithtown Parks Commissioner who also held a number of other positions within the town government. The area offers Town of Smithtown residents a chance to picnic and hike without traveling far. Restrictions include no motorized vehicles, golfing or horseback riding.
