NAI trains appraisers to assess damage resulting from auto collisions. Students take a three-month academic program tailored to both experienced appraisers seeking to keep their professional skills sharp and for those with no experience. A total of eight courses or "seminars," cover the frame and suspension, as well as general auto damage assessment for vehicles that are serviceable. Other courses, all of which cost roughly $5,000 each, include fraud awareness and file handling techniques.
