Camarillo / California / United States
The Sun Air Jets story began in 1999 when its founder discovered that, as an aircraft owner and customer of the aircraft management industry, “industry standard practices” do not necessarily favor aircraft owners. At that moment, the concept of Sun Air Jets became a reality, leading to a company founded and operated on the principles of honesty, integrity, and transparent communication, resulting in a better aircraft management experience and better financial results for aircraft owners. Being a boutique aircraft management company, but with extraordinary financial investment in our human capital and facilities, we have the desire and capacity to dedicate attention and resources to each aircraft owner and their specific needs. Over the next 15+ years, the company constructed and now owns and operates five large corporate hangars and an aviation terminal facility on over 11 acres at the Camarillo airport. Starting with the owner’s own jets and helicopter fleet, Sun Air Jets created its FAA Part 135 Air Carrier Certificate in 2003, and has operated a fleet of aircraft including Gulfstream II, III, IV, V and 500, Bombardier Global 5000 and 6000, Challenger 601, 604, and 605, Falcon 2000, 50, and 7X, Cessna Citation II, III, and X, and Hawker 700, 800XP, 850XP, and 1000. In 2010, Sun Air Jets obtained its FAR Part 145 Repair and Maintenance Station license to maintain and service its fleet on site. The company also extended into the Van Nuys Airport in 2011 with over 50,000 square feet of hangar and offices. Sun Air’s advantages of desirable location, 100+ years of senior management experience, and its strategic and tactical expertise in all things related to asset management provide aircraft owners’ diligent revenue generation and cost reduction strategies that help better subsidize owner’s travel. Out of thousands of aircraft management companies nationwide, only a handful possess all four of the major safety audit standards in the air charter industry. IS/BAO, Wyvern (Wingman), ARG/US (Platinum), and the Air Charter Safety Foundation all visit Sun Air Jets on a recurring basis to examine all aspects of our safety systems, flight operations procedures, pilot and maintenance training, maintenance practices, and airport ground operations. Sun Air Jets is also a preferred vendor to Executive Jet Management, requiring an additional on-site audit to ensure the company meets their extremely high flight operations safety standards. Sun Air Jets has a 100% safety record, and values the safety of our customers, passengers, and employees as its highest priority each and every day. Sun Air’s corporate goal is always to remain the best and safest elite charter management company, while also providing an uncompromising level of service.
