The Loudoun County Volunteer Rescue Squad provides emergency medical service to an 80-square-mile area in Loudoun. It relies on community support, both in the form of volunteers and from financial donations. It receives funding from both the Loudoun County government and the Town of Leesburg, but still falls about $200,000 short of its annual expenses without the support of community members.
