The company has been quite successful, even recently moving down the street from their original location due to space restrictions. Practical Props sells a huge selection of lighting instruments, including chandeliers, table lamps, floor lamps and wall sconces. Their specialty is lights and lighting parts that are nearly impossible to find. They have the connections to find these pieces, or can hand-design and create them right here in the shop. They claim that they can repair any light you bring them.

The store is very spacious and also offers a wide variety of antiques ranging from knick-knacks to ornate funiture. The staff is very friendly and knowledgable about all types of antiques. North Hollywood Antiques Shop occupies a storefront space in North Hollywood's Antiques Row. As the signs say, the interior is filled with "quality stuff." A wide variety of tables and chairs as well as lamps, mirrors and sculptural busts make up most of this large shop's stock. But there's also framed art on the walls, as well as collectibles and vintage toys scattered around, including the odd toy train. Lots of light fixtures hang overhead and there's even a back patio with more vintage and antique goods.
