Since 1947, through good times and bad, this cold-war era radio station has been broadcasting news, information and call-in interviews to local listeners. Through storms and earthquakes, the county has depended on it for immediate disaster information. This RCA period radio station is technically up to date, and the interior, not open to the general public, is a museum of vintage radio equipment. The art deco designs and old-time gear bring out the true character of the station: community service.

This is a modern station, reveling in the past. You'll find that hometown charm beginning at the front desk. Beyond the interior door are the studios, where news and talk radio hosts engage in candid conversation with guests and callers. That is, if you're nice enough to pet the station mascot, Tula, who will welcome  you at the door.
