Palos Verdes Art Center is non-profit community arts organization. It is involved with local schools and pre-schools and organizes tours of exhibitions, visiting speakers and gives scholarships. Visual art classes, drawing, painting, sculpture, ceramics, photography, printmaking, digital arts, art history and much more is taught here, and everybody from ages 3 to 103, and of all skill levels, are welcome. Small classes are taught by artists and art educators. Private and semi-private lessons can also be arranged. Terms begin in January, April, July and September.
The Westport Arts Center is a visual and performing arts organization that offers arts experiences to the entire community. The center has been in the community since the 1960s, when it was incorporated as the Westport-Weston Arts Council in 1969. Since that time, the center has worked to preserve Westport's cultural heritage and tradition of supporting the arts.
The Westport Arts Center offices and galleries are located on the banks of the Saugatuck River in downtown Westport. In addition to presenting exhibitions, concerts, lectures and film screenings in its 2000 square-foot gallery, the center also has a studio where children's workshops are held as well as a smaller Studio Gallery annex.
Youth in Arts is the leading arts education non-profit organization in Marin County. It offers students experiences and instruction in the visual and performing arts, and it enriches the community with cultural events.
