Established in 1968 as Waynes Transmission Clinic, we became Waynes Transmissions in 2005 under the ownership of Wayne Johnson. We specialize in the service and repair of transmissions, both automatic and manual, as well as differentials, transfer cases, CV axles, and drive lines. Our facility has 2 service bays and employs 2 full-time technicians to handle the service and repair work. We are happy to provide service on all imports and domestic cars, pick-up trucks and SUVs with a few exceptions: new Mercedes models, Saab, VW, and Audi makes. Owner Having worked in the business since it was established, Wayne Johnson brings to the company more than 26 years of experience as a technician. He holds ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certification in: - Automatic Transmission - Engine Repair - Manual Drive Train - Suspension - Brakes - Exhaust He enjoys the challenge of working with the newer transmissions and the differences they present when compared with limited technology of the older transmissions. The most important things about his job are honesty, integrity, and being able to do quality work at a fair price. Wayne sees value in going the extra mile with each job. Details like polishing the surfaces that ride in newly installed bushings, or resurfacing drums so the new bands seat well, are well worth the time it takes and give each customer the added value of exceptional quality when the job is done. He has excellent diagnostic skills that can shorten the time necessary to determine the repair that is needed. When not at work, Wayne spends his time drag racing, snowmobiling, riding dirt bikes or taking in a car show. Wayne has lived in Idaho for over 24 years. He readily shares his favorite things about being here are the many opportunities for outdoor recreation and camping. He also finds the community blessed with more than its fair share of people who are pleasant to interact with in a social or business setting.
