Since 1997, Build-A-Bear Workshop has been a place where teddy bears come to life. At Build-A-Bear Workshop, you pick which bear you want, then stuff it and pick out its clothing and accessories. This Build-A-Bear Workshop store is located in The Shops At Wiregrass.
This Build-A-Bear Workshop store is located in the main promenade of the Westfield Sarasota Square Mall. In the store, you first select a teddy bear from a huge assortment in different colors and fabric textures, or a Hello Kitty, dog, wolf or other plush toy for $10-$25. Next, you go to the stuffing machine and fill your toy to the desired thickness. At this point, you can insert a sound device for an additional $4-$8. Sounds include barks, Star Wars music, hoot owl and more, or you can record your own voice.
Other accessories include clothing, wigs and baby animals. A couple of the dog toys can actually carry their pups in their mouths.
The bright yellow interior of this Build-A-Bear workshop will make you want to come in and start building your bear. Bears of all sizes and color line the walls waiting to be stuffed and taken home. There's a lot of clothing to choose that perfect outfit including the hard to resist tutu, the more personal underwear, special occasion outfits and even shoes.
