Located on Rosedale Street, St. Nicholas Catholic Church started in 1914 as a mission project of St. Leo Church. Construction for the current building began in 1958 and it appointed its first permanent pastor in 1931. Father Hung Nguyen has been the pastor at St. Nicholas Catholic Church since 2006.
St Joseph Catholic Church is a congregation that values stewardship, education, community and compassion. Before coming to St Joseph in July of 2008, Father Bryan Dolejsi served for 2 years at 4 parishes in Southeast Tacoma. The St Joseph School which was founded in 1994 offers preschool through 3rd grade instruction, including preschool and kindergarten classes.
