Joe and Flossie Jernigan founded Jernigan Funeral Home in Dunn, North Carolina, in 1930. Two years later they moved their business to the 500 Block of Hay Street in Fayetteville, and then to 206 Gillespie Street, where the business remained until 1958, when the present Funeral Home was built at its location on Ramsey Street. This building was renovated in the early 1970s, creating larger visitation rooms and additional offices. In 1946, Charles Warren, Joe and Flossie Jernigans nephew, purchased a one-third interest in the business, and upon Joe Jernigans retirement in 1952, Charles Warren and Flossie Jernigan became co-owners. Mrs. Jernigan passed away in 1989, and Charles Warren became sole owner. Harold Warren, Charles younger brother, came to work in the family business in 1989, after retiring from the Cumberland County School System. And in 2009, Charles "Ben" Chambers, Charles and Lucille Warrens grandson, began working full time in the Funeral Home, continuing the family tradition. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home was invited to join National Selected Morticians (now Selected Independent Funeral Homes) in 1963. Members of this association operate under strict standards and strive to utilize the best practices in serving families and individuals during their time of need. The Selected members, guided by the Code of Good Practice and the benefit of shared knowledge, are recognized as professionals of a high order. Charles Warren passed away on December 9, 2010, at the age of 93. His wife, Lucille Warren, is the current owner. She operates the business with a dedicated staff of funeral professionals who have over 165 years of accumulated experience. Jernigan-Warren Funeral Home prides itself on serving each family with care and compassion, and is dedicated to continuing to serve their great community as the business has done for more than 80 years.

Carroll Memorials designs, fabricates and installs only the finest quality monuments in granite, marble and bronze. We have many beautiful designs for individual or companion monuments. We have special designs for Veterans. Steve Carroll, owner and design specialist, has worked with natural stone for 35 years. He uses the latest "state of the art" equipment to design and fabricate lasting memorials. A wide selection of cremation urns are available in marble, bronze and wood. Our prices are very fair and reasonable because we believe in giving our clients good value. One the most important aspects of this good value is our special "Keystone foundation". No other area monument installer creates such a quality concrete foundation and its value will span many generations. The same techniques are used to make commercial and residential signage. From stately, colorful granite signs for businesses to simple house numbers, we can make sure people know and remember where you are located. The natural stone signs that we sell will never rot or rust. Carroll Memorials is an authorized dealer for Annin Flags. Annin is Americas oldest flag manufacturer. Most of our flags are guaranteed not to fade for one full year. We have a complete catalog of flags and flag accessories for outdoor, indoor, parade and desk applications. We also sell and install the finest fiberglass flagpoles in America and theyre made right here in North Carolina. These beautiful, gleaming white fiberglass flagpoles are stronger than aluminum and they will not discolor like aluminum poles. Our poles carry a 20 year warranty, the longest warranty in the business. Our installation technique is every bit as sturdy and long lasting as our monument foundations. Also available at Carroll Memorials are awards made of natural marble. We do not sell little awards with plastic chrome figurines. Our awards are more suited for corporate or community service recognition. These marble awards come in many shapes and colors. The pertinent information is laser engraved and can be color filled. Other home furnishings such as candlesticks, bookends, mortar & pestle, coasters, desk sets, desk name plates, business card holders, etc. are made from the beautifully colored marble. Natural stone kitchen and lavatory counter tops and table tops are produced at Carroll Memorials in our residential division known as Rock House Granite. Granite, marble, onyx, travertine and soapstone are some of the available stone types. Floor tiles are also available. Each stone type has its own specialty application. We have a selection of wrought iron table bases for use with granite tops as home furnishings. Simple or intricately carved mantle pieces, door and window surrounds and balustrades are made of limestone or marble.
