Roseville Home Start is nonprofit transitional housing facility that is open to homeless single-parent families, couples and grandparents raising grandchildren. Families must agree to live on-site for one year, attend counseling sessions, be drug and alcohol free and work toward a G.E.D. if they have not graduated from high school.
Thi Goodwill Donation Express is located in a small shopping center at the corner of Cirby Way and Sunrise Avenue in Roseville and is a drop off for contributions of new or lightly used items for resale in Goodwill thrift stores. The donation sites have a limited ability to take large items of furniture or office equipment and feed donated items for resale into Goodwill Industries stores to support charity efforts.
Families for Children is a nonprofit that finds permanent adoptive families for California foster care children and provides caring short-term foster homes for children temporarily removed from their biological parents. It also offers teen foster child support groups, foster parent support groups, international home studies and post adoptive support programs.
Kids First is located on Main Street in old historic Roseville and provides services for children and families in need. Services available to the community include counseling and therapy for abused or neglected children, anger training and management for parents, assistance in finding low cost health care as well as after school activities for kids.
The St. Vincent De Paul Society operates two thrift stores in Roseville as well as a donation center, food locker and dining hall in an industrial park space off Vernon Street on Guiseppe Court. The Roseville Conference is able to run the stores, dining hall and food locker with help of volunteers and is always in need of diapers, hygiene items, food donations, office supplies and thrift store donations.
The Gathering Inn in a non-profit organization devoted to helping the homeless with hot meals, clothing, access to showers and a safe place to sleep. Over sixty churches and 2000 volunteers help provide services to Roseville's homeless citizens that include running a bus service to the shelter at night, a health clinic and 12 Step Support Group meetings.
Habitat for Humanity is off Highway 65 at the Park Drive exit, in the Industrial Avenue business complex. Habitat for Humanity is a nonprofit organization that reaches out for donations and/or materials to build homes. Through volunteers, donations, and applicants, great relationships are built and positivity shines throughout the community.
The Family Church is part of a network of churches led by the leadership of Bethel Church in Redding. It hosts ministries, weekend and holiday events, youth activities, religious education and other activities.
This Goodwill Donation Express provides a fast and convenient way to donate household items and clothing. It accepts most everything except large appliances such as refrigerators, stoves and dishwashers. Customers can simply drive up to the store and one of the Goodwill employees will come out to unload the items. Goodwill also provides a receipt for income tax purposes, and all of the donated items are eventually sold at one of its thrift stores located across the country.

The Placer ARC On The Go program relies on donations and grants to operate a unique service for special needs students to venture out in group activities to explore the greater Roseville community. With the On The Go program, participants experience new venues and gain independence. Students choose from many different excursions or experiences including game nights, shopping trips, cultural events, and bowling.
Alta California Regional Center is one of 21 centers funded by the California Department of Developmental Services to connect developmentally disabled adults or at risk infants and their families to existing community resources such as Child Services, the California Department of Rehabilitation or local schools and community groups. The goal of the centers is to provide access to health care, safe housing and maximize choices for its clients.
Elk Lodge #2248 is affiliated with The Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks which is one of the largest fraternal organizations in the world, counting more one million members and more than 1,200 lodges. The organization provides youth scholarships, does community and charitable work and is known for its support of war veterans. It is located in a large buiding on top of a rise on rural Brady Lane just off Baseline Road in Roseville. Plenty of private lot parking is available.
The Polish American Community Hall is a two-story building owned and run by the Polish American Club of Greater Sacramento. The club has operated out of this facility for more than 20 years and holds regular meetings and events for members. The building has various banquet facilities available for rent that can accommodate up to 350 people, including a kitchen, dance floor, stage and catering access. Please see the website for details.
This Goodwill Donation Xpress is located in the Raley's shopping center on Woodcreek Oaks Boulevard near Maheny Park in Roseville. Goodwill Donation Express accepts new and gently-used items that are then resold in Goodwill thrift stores. Profits further Goodwill's mission of providing job training and employment services to the disabled and to those who lack education or face other employment challenges. Goodwill Donation Xpress accepts large items and furniture on a limited basis.
California Police Youth Charities (CPYC) is a non-profit organization that is making changes in the lives of kids throughout the State of California. CPYC is trying to bridge the gap that is between police officers and many kids in communities. CPYC’s programs bring in professional athletes and uniformed police officers to speak to kids about drugs, alcohol, and gang violence. CPYC accepts donations of all types for kids that live in California and local areas.
What Would Jesus Do? is a nonprofit mobile ministry staffed with volunteers that deliver breakfast as well as another prepared meal to the homeless in the Placer County area. There six scheduled morning stops that include the St. Vincent De Paul food locker on Guiseppe street near downtown on Wednesdays. The van and its volunteers deliver meals to more than 30,000 in need yearly as well as provide nurses or doctors if immediate medical assistance is needed.
