The Cape Cod Neighborhood Support Coalition (CCNSC) works to strengthen families by giving them resources to help prevent child abuse and neglect. It promotes community-based initiatives and collaborates with family support provides to bring about effective programming.
Part of the programming is parent support and education, violence prevention, social services, child care and youth development.
In 1993, the CCNSC got its start under the federal Family Preservation and Support Act with Mass. Department of Social Services.
Family Continuity is a non-profit mental health and social services agency serving Massachusetts. Collectively, it has more than 20 programs for families, children, adolescents, adults, couples and seniors. It focuses on a targeted spectrum of emotional, developmental and behavioral problems. Its services are community and home-based.
A locally-funded 501 C-3, the Alzheimer's Services of Cape Cod and the Islands provides support and services to individuals affected by Alzheimer's or a related dementia. The facilities work with families, care-givers and professionals to provide resources and support. The organization sponsors a variety of events including candle lighting ceremonies, walk-a-thons and even a polar bear plunge to aid in building awareness and in fundraising.
This office of the AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod handles case management and prevention.
In 1983 AIDS Support Group of Cape Cod began its mission of providing preventive programs, education, support and services to residents and visitors of Provincetown. Since then, it's reach has grown to cover the Cape including Martha's Vineyard. It strives to improve the quality of life for people living with HIV and AIDS.
BLT is a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of wildlife habitats, scenic views, watershed parcels, forests and other open spaces. It works with residents to identify parcels and pursues the purchase or gifting of these spaces. The organization publishes a monthly newsletter and allows the public to attend meetings.
Cape Organization for Rights of the Disabled advances the independence, productivity and integration or people with disabilities into society. It provides services including transportation, assistance on navigating disability laws, educational programs and technical programs to improve quality of life for people with disabilities.
Baybridge Clubhouse is a community for people who suffer from mental illness. The staff there helps their members find housing, prepare for employment, and provide a supportive gathering place where they can interact with other members. Baybridge is part of a network of services offered by the Department of Mental Health through The May Institute.
The Cape Cod Hospital Healthcare network maintains a thrift shop. Accepting donations from the public, its principal aim is to raise capital funding for the Cape Cod Hospital. It features air conditioning, private dressing rooms and storefront designs. Inventory includes clothing, jewelry, sports equipment, home furnishings, shoes and miscellany. It is helmed by Christine Greeley and managed by Sylvia Rocha.
The Hyannis Salvation Army location offers a variety of services including worship, adult and youth program services, emergency services and disaster response.
The Hyannis VFW is conveniently located on Route 28 right off the airport rotary. It offers rentals for private parties as well as a lounge. Keno is also available at the VFW. Personal checks are accepted for hall rentals, but it is cash only at the bar.
Alliance to Protect Nantucket Sound is an advocacy group with a primary focus on keeping a The Cape Wind plant, a wind turbine field, from being implemented in Nantucket Sound.
Cape Abilities is a non-profit organization providing housing, jobs and therapeutic services for individuals with developmental disabilities.

Cape Abilities owns and operates as an entrepreneurial business a farm on Route 6A in Dennis, where those with physical and mental challenges find employment working in the fields or in administration.
Cape Abilities Consignment and Thrift Shop on Route 6A in Barnstable Village is open Mon - Sat from 10am to 4pm.
It maintains a large fleet of vans to transport clients to various places of work, rest and home.
Founded in 1996, the Cape and Island's Gay & Straight Youth Alliance provides support to young people through educational programming, events and mentoring.
The organization is for youth 22 years old and younger.
ARC of Cape Cod assists residents the Cape Cod area with developmental disabilities. The mission of ARC is to ensure that all people have the opportunity to achieve their full potential, and strive to achieve this goal through a combination of education, advocacy and the development and enactment of individual goals and objectives.
