CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Morris and Sussex Counties is a private non-profit organization. It is dedicated to providing advocacy services for children. CASA recruits and trains volunteers to represent children of abuse and neglect in court to ensure they are processes into safe, permanent and developmentally-beneficial homes. It maintains an additional office in Newton.
The mission of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) is to ensure the political, educational, social and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate race-based discrimination. The organization was founded in 1909 and currently has an enrollment of approximately 300,000 people. This office for the NAACP is located in Morristown Town Hall.
The Washington Association of New Jersey, founded in 1874, is one of the oldest historic preservation organizations in the nation. WANJ's mission is to preserve and maintain the Jacob Ford Mansion, known as Washington's Headquarters, in Morristown. Gen. George Washington and the Continental Army wintered in Morristown in 1779-80.
Created in 1933, through donations by the Washington Association, Morristown National Historical Park preserves sites in the Morristown area occupied by Gen. Washington and the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War. It was the first national historical park in the nation.

ACT: Abuse Ceases Today is part of Jersey Battered Women's Service. JBWS is a full-service domestic violence and domestic abuse prevention agency with volunteer opportunities. The services include a 24-hour hot-line, counseling, safe house, transitional living, children's services, life skills education, vocational counseling, batterer's intervention, legal assistance, teen dating violence services and professional training, education and youth prevention programs.
This is the local branch of the American Legion, a congressionally-chartered organization of veterans of the United States armed forces. Membership is open to all war veterans. Members meet every third Thursday at 8pm.
Empty Bowl Zendo facilitates community support in the practice of zen meditation. The group's emphasis is on zazen, or "sitting meditation, a practice that focuses on the present moment in an attempt to live without judgments and preconceptions."
Empty Bowl Zendo meets regularly on Tuesday evenings on the second floor of the Church of the Redeemer. Special sitting events are held throughout the month, including the more rigorous Day of Silence, held from 7:25am to 1pm the second Saturday of every month.
