Founded in 1920, Montgomery Zoo is situated on a 40-acre space. The zoo features more than 700 different species of animals. It has a staff that includes administrators, animal care, conservation and preservation specialists, veterinarians, education curators, trainers, merchandisers, maintenance and operation engineers, customer service and volunteers. Montgomery Zoo is handicap accessible. In addition, wheelchairs are also available at its Zoofari Gift Shop.
