Built in 1867, the Governor Warner Mansion displays a collection of artifacts and information about Michigan's only three-term governor and Farmington native, Fred M. Warner. Donated to the City of Farmington in 1980 by the governor's grandchildren, the house features a carriage barn, a circular drive and a gazebo. The expansive porch has become a gathering place for community "porch parties," where residents visit, play games and enjoy refreshments on summer evenings. Annual events include a tree-lighting ceremony and special activities during the Farmington Area Founders Festival.
