Located in the back side of The Miller memorial Central Library building. The Town of Hamden Elderly Services Department provides a wide array of services and functions for its seniors. The facility has activity rooms and a social hall. It organizes and hosts events such as shopping bazaars and Wii Bowling night and card night. Computer classes are offered here and a lounge with pool tables, couches and TV's provides a great place for those seniors just looking for company while they relax.
Formerly called Human Services, The Town of Windsor Social Services provides various benefits to Windsor residents on a need basis. Services provided include energy assistance, a food bank, turkey program, and helphing elderly with health insurance information. Services such as support groups are also provided for those in abusive situations, and for those with diabetes. The office also organizes the hand-construction and donation of winter hats and gloves on an annual basis. There is also care-giver support and "Project Santa," a gift-giving program to children in need. The Social Services office also provides many volunteer opportunities.
The Health Department of Stratford is located in the Birdseye Municipal Complex, the former Birdseye School. The facility provides public health services to town residents including flu clinics, asthma education, restaurant inspections, school health and dental services, beach inspections and emergency planning.
The Department of Human Services is located near Stonington High School. The department, led by Human Services Director Beth-Ann Stewart, is responsible for enhancing the well-being of all residents in Stonington. The department is composed of four offices: recreation, senior services, social services and youth and family services.
Southington Community Services is located in the recently renovated former volunteer fire house along Route 10 in Plantsville and is the central office designed to help meet community needs in Southington. The department coordinates food, clothing and toy drives to provide materials for needy families; hosts an energy assistance for low-income households; assists those affected by emergencies and more. Southington Community Services also provides summer camp opportunities, assists with the operation of school-related programs such as Kristen's Closet or Smart Start and coordinates the operation of local shelters during emergencies as well as a eviction prevention program. Southington Community Services is led by director Janet Mellon.
The Connecticut Women, Infants and Children state agency offers nutritional guidance and assistance for qualified state residents. Those meeting federal poverty guidelines are eligible for "fresh, unprepared fruits and vegetables." Participants are given checks to use at participating grocery stores.
In addition to produce, nutritional risk is assessed and food education is provided. Children under the age of five, parents, stepparents, foster parents, guardians and pregnant and nursing mothers are eligible.

The town's human services department administers a variety of social programs including food stamps, rental and housing assistance and energy assistance to meet residents' basic needs. The agency also offers a food pantry in its lower level.
Human services employs three social workers, two full-time and one part-time counselor, an administrative assistant, a financial assistant and the director, Marjorie Fondulas.
Each social worker sees about 65 families and individuals per month. The agency also provides counseling to school-age children and runs support programs for groups such as grandparents.
The Department of Parking Services manages all municipal parking in Greenwich. The department was founded in 2004 at the suggestion of a 2002 study of the town's municipal parking. The department consolidates resources and responsibilities previously assigned to police, and members of the public works and finance departments.
