Richland Energy Services is a department within the city of Richland, Wash., and is under the supervision of the city council. Located in Richland, Wash., it maintains a power and resource management division that provides a variety of services in support of the city, such as retail rate administration, regional power issues, power supply and transmission, financial management, and customer service and public relations. The division also offers performance accountability, legislation and compliance, emergency planning, demand-side management services and nonresidential energy code plan examination services. Richland Energy Services also has an electrical engineering division that does comprehensive design work and the management of substation modifications and industrial and commercial developments, as well as residential electrical services.
