Established in 1886 on the banks of Dering Harbor, Shelter Island Yacht Club is one of the oldest clubs in North America. Recreational sailing, racing, water sports festivals and social events throughout the year at the clubhouse continue to be the focus for club members. The club's fine-dining restaurant features steak, beer and karaoke nights. A variety of sailboats and cruisers are docked at this historic and active club, which also hosts a junior saling program.
Formed in 1911, the Manursing Island Club is a private, family club. It occupies 65 acres and is located on the Long Island Sound in a residential section of Rye.
The club's features include an outdoor swimming pool, paddle tennis facilities, premier tennis courts, a sandy beach and a clubhouse with a dining room. The club offers a variety of programs for its members, such as a summer camp and swimming lessons.
