Duane G. Meyer Library provides free services to more than 1,000 customers a day. The library has more than 50,000 cardholders and offers resource sharing and advisory services. Its bookmobile provides materials to customers with special needs, as well as infants, preschoolers and senior citizens Duane G. Meyer Library is supported by the Friends of the Public Library, which is a nonprofit and all-volunteer organization. It provides materials on census, city, Native American, military, land and state records. In addition, it offers materials on African-American and European genealogy. The library also offers additional services to the local community. Located in Springfield, Mo., Duane G. Meyer Library is owned and operated by the Missouri State University.
