Marin's only comic book shop, Blue Moon has comics from the 1940s to now and strives to have a great selection of back issues from those time periods. Their kids section is growing all the time. Magic cards are also a specialty and they have thousands of singles, as well as graphic novels, t-shirts and statues.
Stand-up Comics is El Cerrito's local comic book store. The store has been serving the area for twenty years. This location is independently-owned and carries a wide selection of comics from Captain America to X-Men. It also sells Japanese manga paperbacks, Role-Playing Games and gaming cards as well as a variety of comic-book related accessories such as action figures and clothing. An extensive selection of anime can be found here as well, from the popular Yu-Gi-Oh to lesser-known cartoons.
The store has a special savers program; if you order five titles the store will hold them all for you to pick up whenever you'd like. They host several events every year, like gaming nights, a Halloween costume contest and a holiday food and toy drive.
The Comic Bug is located near the busy intersection of Manhattan Beach and Aviation boulevards. In June 2004, owners Jun, Mike and Adam put their collective passion for comic books into creating this store. Along with popular serial comics and graphic novels, the store carries a large selection of independent titles, trade paperbacks, action figures, games, DVDs and T-shirts. Customers can feel free to hang out on a couch and sip a soda while reading. Frequent events are held in the shop, including release parties, concerts, comedy, fund raisers and signings with names like Geoff Johns, Marv Wolfman, Tim Sale, Bryan Lee O'Malley and Stan Lee.

Coastside Comics carries a huge supply of comic books, graphic novels, magazines and related toys, as well as dozens of trading cards, including Garbage Pail Kids and Pokemon. Coastside also provides computer repair, and faxing and printing services.
