Atlantis Fantasyworld has been providing Santa Cruzans with their comic book fixes for 34 years. Originally housed in an old family grocery store, the building was destroyed in the 1989 earthquake. Atlantis moved to one of the downtown pavilions that allowed it and other businesses to continue selling its goods. In 1992, the business relocated to its current location on Cedar Street where it hopes to stay, evidenced by the time put into the store's design which includes a simulation of a Starship, complete with a full-wall mural looking out at the U.S.S. Enterprise as it orbits around Earth.
