The Chicago-area network of Jewish Community Centers traces its roots back to the earliest years of the twentieth century when a group of young West Side Jewish men raised $250 to provide services that would help the approximately 75,000 Jewish people who had recently settled in Chicago, having escaped the pogroms in Eastern Europe. Bernard Weinger JCC is one of eight locations which now continue that tradition, offering recreational and learning activities for children and adults.
This center features a full-sized gymnasium, a weight/exercise room, an art room, a social hall, a conference room, a lobby/lounge area and a community room. A variety of recreational opportunities and classes are available for all ages, including pottery. The facility is located next to the Town of Chevy Chase government offices and Leland Community Park.

Owned and operated by the city of Encinitas, the Encinitas Community & Senior Center is a 39,000-square-foot facility which hosts a series of events, programs and recreational and educational resources for residents of all ages. The Encinitas Community & Senior Center is home to a free open gym which offers activities that include basketball, badminton, volleyball and more, as well as a banquet hall, gymnasium, auditorium, kitchen, meeting and conference rooms, a senior game room, library, computer room and more.
This YMCA location is a satellite site, which provides aftercare for elementary school kids. This location is run out of the cafeteria at Belcher Elementary. It only operates during the hours of 2pm - 6pm on school days.
