The Parsippany Community Center houses a number of municipal services, as well as being a senior citizen center. Here you will find the Department of Fire Prevention, Department of Housing, Department of Human Services, Office of Health, Office on Aging and the Physically Handicapped, Social Services, the Par-Troy EMS and the Book Nook. The Community Center also has multiple meeting rooms, a theater, and an auditorium, which host local events throughout the year.

The Office of Health works to increase public awareness of good health through education, screenings, and immunizations. The Office on Aging and the Physically Handicapped is dedicated to helping senior citizens and the physically handicapped stay active and independent. It offers social activites, a fitness center, a library, a game room (including board games, two pool tables, and a shuffle board table), a cafeteria, and senior citizen job placement services.

The Par-Troy EMS offers emergency medical services to the entire town during daytime hours (Mon - Sat, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.) It operates one ambulance with two certified EMTs, and works in conjunction with Mobile Intensive Care Units from Saint Clare's Hospital and Morristown Memorial Hospital.

The Book Nook sells books from the Parsippany Public Library System. All of the books are either old copies that have been replaced or books that have been taken out of circulation. Softcovers sell for $2 and hardcovers for $3.
Red Bank Elks Lodge #233 is located in the city's downtown on Front Street along the Navesink River. The lodge includes a social area for members, a large banquet hall for hundreds of guests, a Tiki Bar, and an outside seating and barbeque area.
Established more than a century ago, lodge #233 supports many charitable causes throughout the area including assisting handicapped and special needs children, providing scholarships, assisting veterans with patriotic programs, providing food baskets to the needy, and providing drug awareness and counciling programs.
The Broadway Adult Day Care center encourages seniors to live independently while providing them with medical assistance. Registered nurses monitor participants' medications, vital statistics and eating habits, and the rest of the professional staff assists them with all other activities of daily life. Lectures, music and other forms of live entertainment are also provided daily. Physical therapy, occupational therapy, speech therapy and health care education are all among the center's offerings. Participants are served hot breakfast and lunch and nutritionists can tailor the meals to specific dietary needs. Social activities include choir, jazz, dancing, theater and crafts. Free transportation is available to and from the facility for all clients.
Yorkshire Meadows, part of the Yorkshire Village residential complex, is an adult community center that sponsors events for older adults. Activities are held constantly. Call the center for more information and current schedules.
New Community Corporation, also known as NCC, is a nonprofit community development organization. Formed in 1968 by Monsignor William Linder, it offers help in the areas of financial literacy, budgeting, banking, food stamps, health care, employment, energy conservation, rental assistance, homelessness and inpatient substance abuse. NCC additionally develops affordable housing, as well as owns and manages more than 1,700 units for seniors and families. For more information on all NCC does in the community, call the office.
The West Long Branch Community Center is located at 116 Locust Avenue, at the intersection of Parker and Locust avenues. The community center can be used for special events, such as wedding receptions, bar or bat mitzvahs and corporate meetings. The ballroom, which has an attached kitchen, can house 128 people. There is also the Norwood Room, which houses 60 people and can be used for smaller events.
Monroe Center for the Arts is a multi-disciplinary mixed-use space that tends to the needs of artists, designers and entrepreneurs in search of studio or retail space. Presently, the businesses at the center include printers, floral designers, architects, puppet makers, interior designers, music and dance instructors and pilates studios. The center also holds open studio hours, gallery exhibitions, film screenings, educational workshops and more on a year-round basis.
The Boylan Street Rec Center is one of Newark's free recreational centers. It features billiards, table tennis, a weight room, a pool, DJ Classes, computers and more.
Mikvah Chana provides clean, modern ritual bathing facilities for Jewish men and women seeking to regain spiritual purity by immersion in the cleansing waters. Membership is required.
