Aid for AIDS is a health awareness center that assists those who have been stricken with the AIDS virus. Founded in 1983, the nonprofit organization helps individuals and families pay for necessary things such as food, shelter and medicine. Ninety-two percent of all Aid for AIDS revenue goes to client programs, so if possible, please make a donation.
The Awesome Playground features a 60-foot outdoor obstacle course and an indoor playground with a ball pit, a crooked house with a kitchen, a doll house, play structure, a baby/toddler corner, a dress up area and a race track. Located in historic Filipinotown, Our Lady of Loretto is a part of the Archdiocese of Los Angeles. It serves the very large Philipino area residents and are very involved in the community. First Chinese Baptist Church, Los Angeles (FCBC-LA) is located in the heart of Chinatown, directly across the 110 freeway from Dodger Stadium. FCBC-LA is a congregation of people committed to following Jesus and intentionally trying to make an impact for God in the many communities represented by our membership. Every Sunday, it offers several worship services, Bible studies and training opportunities across a broad spectrum of ages and languages. This is the Los Angeles branch of Jews for Jesus, located just off the UCLA campus in the Westwood Village. The organization's purpose is to make the messiahship of Jesus an unavoidable issue to Jewish people worldwide.

The American Legion is a national veterans service organization. This location is Post number 43 and has been operating in Hollywood since 1919. The building itself resembles an Army barracks but with art deco architecture. An honor roll of American war heroes decorate the outer facade. The courtyard contains a war memorial complete with an antique cannon. The building itself is available for private events including live shows, film shoots and receptions. The hall has a rich heritage and was a favorite place for local artists and politicians. Humphrey Bogart was a regular at the roaring-'20s-style basement bar. The American Legion Hollywood Post is also the location for many films and television commercials. Come for the museum, stay for the drinks.
This is one of the most beautiful and magnificently adorned churches in Eagle Rock. It began as a parish chapel in a vacant store and was subsequently moved to a private home before opening to the public on Rosary Sunday in 1941. An earlier version of the church, built in 1925, was located across Merton Avenue and was part of St Dominic's School. The church and the school existed in a single building for 16 years on the site where the school now stands.

Located on the corner of Chickasaw Avenue and Caspar Avenue, St. Barnabas Episcopal Church began as a mission of modest means and little or no organization in 1908. Its first services were held in the original Masonic Temple on Eagle Rock Boulevard. The church was named in 1915 after St. Barnabas, a companion of St. Paul. The church began supporting itself financially in 1925, when it also became a parish.
The California Endowment is a private, statewide health foundation working to promote quality healthcare resources in underserved areas. The organization is focused on providing resources for health in neighborhoods, schools and more with a variety of preventive and innovative measures, concentrating on much more than just access to doctor's offices.
