Founded in 1995, The Womens Center of Jacksonville is a nonprofit organization that helps women overcome social, economic and personal barriers. It serves more than 10,000 women and girls every year. The center offers individual and group psychotherapy, as well as couples and family counseling services. The Womens Center of Jacksonville provides counseling assistance with issues, such as family conflicts, depression, anxiety, stress, physical abuse and HIV/AIDS, as well as gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender issues. It has a rape recovery team that responds to survivors of sexual violence. The team provides crisis intervention services, assists victims in understanding their rights and options, and offers support throughout the medical and criminal justice process. The center s community education department organizes health education classes, personal growth workshops and professional seminars on womens issues. Jessie Ball duPont Campus, located in Jacksonville, Fla., is the venue of a range of programs offered by the YMCA of Floridas First Coast. The campus offers personal training, youth and adult sports, English as a second language, treadmills and bikes, nutrition education, playground, pool, yoga, swimming lessons, aqua aerobics, free weights and y-cycle classes. It also offers a private aerobics studio, clay tennis courts, gymnasium, adult tennis lessons, health screenings, active older adult programs, strength equipment, aerobics, summer camp, elliptical cross trainers and karate. Additionally, it offers new group fitness classes, such as multi-level yoga, intro classes for yoga, y-cycle, power-pump and Pilates.

The Spring of Tampa Bay, founded in 1977, provides serves more than 30,000 abused adults and their children. Located in Tampa, Fla., it is the first in the United States to have an accredited school on site. The organization is a state-certified domestic violence service provider and is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation for Families and Youth. The Spring of Tampa Bay offers a wide range of services, such as legal, outreach and shelter services. The organization also runs an on-site school serving students in grades kindergarten through eight. Its operating budget comes from private sources, including individuals, corporations and foundations. The Spring of Tampa Bay also offers a juvenile offender program, Peace in Action for youth of ages 10 through 17.
