Diverse, inclusive and warm, the Reform Jewish movement as expressed at Temple Emanu-el in Sarasota is growing in numbers and passion. Rabbi Brenner Glickman brings knowledge of the Torah and Tradition as well as caring, humor and intellect to the temple. The preschool was established more than 25 years ago. Temple Emanu-el has Mishpucha (family) programs to strengthen the temple bond among members, and equally hosts events for the wider community. It strives to be all-inclusive no matter the level of someone's knowledge or practice of faith. It respects the Torah and tradition while living modern lives.

With a strong tradition of social advocacy and justice, the congregational body of the UU incorporates and welcomes people of diverse faiths and backgrounds united by a common belief in humanity, the inherent worth and dignity of each person and of the earth. The flaming chalice, originally designed during WWII by Hans Deutsch, was meant to symbolize sacrifice and love, and has been adapted to the more modern symbol incorporating also two circles. The building itself is designed in the style of the Sarasota School of Architecture, including the large picture windows on either side of the congregation hall, bringing nature in from outdoors.
Located on Beneva Road in the Gulf Gate area, St. Andrew celebrates diversity, united in a common passion of the journey of faith. It believes in sharing the Gospel in action and outreach within the community. To this end, St Andrew is home to 12-step meetings each week and actively supports the All Faiths Food Bank.
