Manitou Cliff Dwellings is an archaeological and natural history preserve located in Manitou Springs, Colo., at the foot of Pikes Peak. It features the architectural remnants of an American Indian culture that lasted from about 1200 B.C. until about A.D. 1300 in the Four Corners area of the Southwes. The facility also houses a museum and gift shop. It additionally organizes interactive school tours for students. The facility s museum includes dioramas that depict the daily life of Anasazi people who left architectural legacy on mesa tops and in cliff walls and were built over 700 years ago. Manitou Cliff Dwellings gift shop provides Anasazi artifacts, handmade Indian jewelry, pottery, rugs, blankets and craft items. The facility also hosts reunions, company parties and other special events. Manitou Cliff Dwellings additionally feature traditional Native American dance programs June through August.
