Operational since 1958, the Martinez Fire Department is a nonprofit organization that works to protect the lives and properties of the citizens of Columbia County in Georgia. The department offers fire suppression and prevention solutions. It also provides various emergency medical services. The Martinez Fire Department operates more than 10 fully staffed stations 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department provides training classes and fire safety education services. It houses an independent communications center that handles emergency and nonemergency calls. The center dispatches fire and rescue responder units. The department s medical division offers various health care solutions to the fire district. The Martinez Fire Department was incorporated by the state of Georgia.
