Hillsborough Area Regional Transit Authority was presented with the Livable Roadways Award 2005 from the Metropolitan Planning Organization. The HART bus system is primarily a hub and spoke system that serves Hillsborough County, Fla. It is based on a system of routes that connect at transfer centers placed at various locations around the urban parts of Hillsborough County to allow easy connectivity between buses.
