Founded by Directors Richard and Joanna Rothbard in 1980, American Art Marketing produces fine art and fine craft events that offer design excellence, affordability, and variety. The Rothbards are artists who have established themselves not only as innovative show promoters, but as owners of An American Craftsman Galleries, one of the most important contemporary craft showcases in the country with permanent high profile gallery locations in NYC at the Manhattan Times Square Hotel, West 55th Street, Madison Avenue, as well as in the historic district of Savannah Georgia, and Stockbridge Massachusetts. We are committed to providing emerging and established artists venues for marketing their work and in the process we hope to educate and raise awareness of fine crafts as a serious art form. We respect the passion, skill and commitment of every artist and we are dedicated to supporting them in their creative efforts.

The Old Print Shop, Inc - founded in 1898 - is an art gallery specializing in American graphic arts, antiquarian maps, atlases, artist books ( livres dartist ), and art reference books. The shop has an extensive inventory with very strong holdings of American historical prints, Currier & Ives, John James Audubon, American town views, and maps published before 1850. Our inventory of American fine art prints 1900-1950 is one of the largest in the United States. We represent a number of famous artists estates and over seventy contemporary printmakers. The gallery has been in the same location in mid-town Manhattan since 1925 and is one of the oldest family run art galleries in the United States. Since our inception in 1898, we have focused on the graphic arts - artists that use printmaking as an expressive medium. Prints, as they are called in the industry, have been collected by individuals and museums since the fifteenth-century when Albrecht Durer began making prints. Most museums have holdings of prints. In the United States the Library of Congress has the largest public collection. However, the Amon Carter Museum, The Art Institute of Chicago, Boston Athenaeum, Boston Public Library, Metropolitan Museum of Art, Museum of Modern Art, New-York Historical Society, and New York Public Library also have extensive collections that are available for viewing by the public.

The Framing Gallery was founded in 1973 by my dad, William Gilmartin. He was a professional artist, illustrator and worked as an Art Director for over 25 years. The Shop was his pride and joy and he couldnt believe how happy he was. My dads feelings were so contagious that my mom and I both left teaching to join the family business in 1983. In 1990, we expanded to our present location on Elwood Avenue because we wanted to open an art gallery as well. We have hosted hundreds of artists for the last 44 years where art lovers can meet, and share their ideas while enjoying music from our upright piano. We have an extensive array of picture framing materials including thousands of molding samples, French matting, state of the art equipment, jewelry, crafts, and tons of great ideas! We simply love what we do and know you will too!
